New year, new job, new location
I have a Forwign Expert Certificate which together with my visa expires on July 15. I am currently working at a university in Baoding, but have been offered a job in Beijing next academic year, and want to go. They need my passport to apply for permit and I need my passport for travelling between the cities... How should I transfer? I do NOT want to return to Sweden but stay in China for two consecutive years. When should my new employer apply for my permit; now or when my present one is about to expire?
Can the PSB issue an extension of one month of the FRP without a contract renewal? Can I go myself to do this? Can I do it now or do I have to wait until a couple of weeks befor my present one expires?
Can I have the FRP changed into a one-month tourist type (L-type) for free? Can I do that myself? Can I do it now for 15/7-15/8 even though my FRP expires in July? I heard that if you do, the present one will be cancelled, so in that case that's not possible because I need my work permit.
Can I go to the PBS and have them give me a temporary document to be used for train tickets etc so that I can give my passprt tothe university in Beijing.
