About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

What if my departure flight has a layover in Shanghai

Will I be able to do the 72 hour visa free travel if my arrival from Seoul to Beijing is at 9:10am on a Sunday and my departure from Beijing to Japan is at 7:45am on a Sunday but has a layover in Shanghai for 2 hours? The flight does not depart from Shangai til after 12:00pm.

Mistake. My arrival is on a Thursday and departure is on a Sunday. Please help!!

No, you can not avail this free transit if your leaving flight has a layover in any other city in China.
