About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do I need to apply for visa free transit if I leave the airport only for a few hours?

I'll be meeting a friend in Beijing City for a few hours before returning to the airport for my flight to Dalian. Do I still need to apply for the Free Transit? If I don't, will I be forbidden to board my next domestic flight?

Hi, you need to apply for a free stay permit if you plan to go out of the airport during stopover. It is easy to get, and just need to show your passpot, flight ticket and fill a small form.
