Getting a China tourist visa

Hello, I'm from the Netherlands and i am wondering what the best way is of getting a L type with the following information.
-I only have a one way ticket.
-I want to stay longer than 1 month.
No booked hotels or hostels (could book a hostel/hotel for the arrival day?) Could i get a visa and what options do i have? Thanks in advance.

If you don't have hotel booking and return air ticket, then you should provide the invitation letter from Chinese individual or your friends in China. If you can't provide both either, then you won't apply for the L type successfully.

Thanks Thomas,

What if i book a flight from Hongkong to vietnam 1 month later ( so 2 months total) and put this on my travel initiary? Would this increase the possibility of getting a visum?

i'd like to stay bit longer then 1 month and will try to extend my visum once i've gained one.

Generally, the L will be issued with 30 days, and it is ok for you to extend it while you are in China. The ticket from HK to Vietnam is ok for application.
