Was it worth it to have the Three Gorges Dam built?

Was it really worth it to build the dam? I mean look at all the problems it has caused. The article didn't even mention all the archeologist sites and ancient temples that were flooded.

No, it wasn't worth it. It is easy to see that the consequences outweigh the benefits.

but it only provides power to 1.2 million people, but china has over 1 BILLION so how does that amount of power have and real benefit to the total population and the massive amount of water in the reservoir has actually slowed the earth rotation by 0.01% which doesn't sound like much but it can have huge consequences in the future.

Its wasn't worth it to build the 3 gorges. There are many bad things about the dam like builders had to destroy lots of landscape to build the 3 gorges, people had to relocate their homes, the 3 gorges dam created a lot of pollution in the water. which isn't good for the wild life that is living in the river or around the river. The water pollution also affected plants.
