regarding metro/bus travel card in shanghai?

Question

If i buy a travel Metro/Bus card and recharge with some amount to travel with Metro/Bus during my stay in SH, if some amount is left in that card after completion of my stay, can I encash that amount?

Yes, you can get part of your money depositing in the card back. If the money in the card is no more than 10RMB, all the amount of money will be returned to you. If it is around 10RMB to 2,000RMB, 95% of the money will be returned. You can return your card in the SPR Bank (Pudong airport branch).

The remaining 5% is used as the handling charge and charged by the transportation company.
