Fastest way to Shanghai from Hangzhou...

Of course the Air Asia Shuttle is more convenient and it can be taken upon your landing! However, you are advised to book the tickets in advance through your airlines!

Both SH Railway Station and East Railway Station are good choices to connect the trains! Also there are direct shuttle buses to both of them!

Thanks for your reply. Indeed, I was thinking to take High Speed train from Hangzhou to SH, since it is much faster. There are 3 of us, and we plan to take a taxi from the airport to Hangzhou Train Station and catch the high speed train to SH. I feel that this is faster than the air asia shuttle service which would take 3-4 hours depending on the traffic condition.

What do you suggest?

Your plan is doable. If you take a taxi to HZ Railway Station and then high speed train to SH. It will take much less than 3-4h.

There are many trains in operation every day, so it is generally easy enough to buy a train ticket on the spot. Don't worry!
