transportation from chengdu to chongqing

Question

Any suggestions on the best way from CD to Chongqing ? We will reach CD in mid-Sept & we plan to go to Chongqing for a few days & then return to CD. Is it possible to buy the train tickets once i reached CD railway station in Sept ? Or to buy the train tickets in advance?  Is there a website where i can buy flight tickets or train(fast trains) tickets online ?Thanks for sharing.

The best method is to take a bullet train from CD East Railway Station to Chongqing North Railway Station. The trains take about two hours. If you do not go on a holiday, you can buy the tickets when you reach CD. If you want to have a good seat as you will, you are suggested to book in advance. You can just book on this website and then collect your tickets at the CD Railway Station on your own.
