Travel from Shanghai Lixin University of Commerce to Great Wall of China in Beiing

I am going to be studying at the SH Lixin University of Commerce for a month. I was curious if it is possible to see the Great Wall of China on a Sunday and what the schedule for travel/costs associated would be?

If possible, you are advised to spend Sat. and Sun. there to tour the Great Wall! From your university, you can take a taxi to Songjiang University Town to take local subway line 9 to Yishan Road, where transfer to line 3 or line 4 to Hongqiao Road. Then you need to transfer to line 10 to Hongqiao Railway Station! There you can take a high speed train to Beijing within 6h (some take longer). As for the train timetable, you can search it out at the official website of the website!

U will be taken to Beijing South Train Station, where you can transfer to local subway line 4 to Xizhimen. Then walk to the north train station to catch a train to Badaling Great Wall for a visit!

By the way, the subway fare to Hongqiao Train Station is CNY7. The train ticket fare (between SH and Beijing) is CNY309-408 for a second class seat and CNY648-696 for a first class seat!
