From the airport, you can take the airport shuttle bus line 5 to reach SH Railway Station, where you can find a bullet train for Nanjing directly in about one hour and forty minutes.
If possible, it is suggested to book the tickets in advance, so that you can just collect the ticket and then take the train at the railway station.1
