About:Chinese Crew, Resident and Journalist Visa

Can somebody explain to me,is this C type visa only for those crew members who will stay in China to work and coming and going to China?

Because I will join ship in China but I will leave China next day and in embasy they gave me G transit,not this one for crew members,so I am confused.Thank you
