How to plan Shanghai to Great wall of China Trip with in 5 days

I think you can leave 2 days for Shanghai Trip and 3 days in Beijing. It takes almost a day for you to visit the wall and then you spend the rest two days to see Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Hutongs and other scenic spots in Beijing. You can take high speed train from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to Beijing South Railway Station after you finish your Shanghai Trip.

Which part are you going to visit, Badaling, Mutianyu or Jinshanling? It's more convenient to visit the Badaling section. You can take subway line 4 to Xizhimen Station and then go to Beijing North Railway Station. There you can take S2 train to Badaling directly.
