Different options of travelling from Hangzhou to Rizhao

Hi, I will be travelling from Hangzhou to Rizhao in May. I will be taking my wife and a 14 month old boy with me. Can you suggest the best routes for us to take, via plane, train or bus and the cost.
Thanks

There is no direct train or flight from Hangzhou to Rizhao. Considering that you take your baby, I think you may take a flight to Qingdao. Then you can take long distance bus from the No.1 gate of Arrival Hall to 3th Haibin Road in Rizhao. It takes around 2 hours and 10 minutes. One tickets costs CNY 85. The bus is available from 10:00 to 22:00. It departs every 1.5 hours.

Thanks for this Jenny. This was my initial thought, but there is a bullet train from Hangzhou to Qufu (which takes 5 hours), but there is no train that is available until the next day. We are thinking of taking the bus, but unsure how long it would take from Qufu to Rizhao and where to get it from. Can anyone help with this route? Thanks

Nick

I searched the train schedule. There is a G train that departs at 07:20 and arrives at 10:49. There is a train from Qufu to Rizhao. It departs at 12:22. However, these two trains are not at the same station. You arrive at Qufu East Station and you need to catch the train (qufu to rizhao) from the Qufu Railway station. It takes around 30 minutes by taxi. The G train usually arrives on time. So you can make it if you can catch a taxi immediately.

There are three buses from Qufu to Rizhao. They depart at 09:00, 12:30 and 13:30. When you arrive at 10:49, I suggest you take a taxi from Qufu East Station to Qufu Bus Station. It should take less than 30 minutes. And there is a bus K01 from the Qufu East Station to Qufu Bus Station too. It takes around 30 minutes and costs CNY 3 per person. However, you need to wait around 20 to 30 minutes for its departure.
