31 cancer/dog never married and dating 36 Capricorn/snake. Are we compatible?

I'm a 31 year old female cancer/dog and currently dating a 36 year old male Capricorn/snake since October 2013. We have had a rocky relationship, and I'd like to know if we are compatible and if our relationship will last. Thank you!

Snake and dog seem to be incompatible. Their relationship can't be deepened though they make great efforts. They are confident but they have totally different life concepts. Marriage can't make you two become one.
