About:Chinese Embassy in Egypt

could i apply for the tourist visa directly or it is a must that i apply through a travel agent?

I'm planning to visit china with my wife accompanying.

It's not a must that you should apply via a travel agency. You can personally submit your application to the embassy on your own or ask your families or friends to do it for you.
