Is there is any law he can get long time resedence permet on his marrige papers?

My son married in Xinjiang China With Uyger Girl.they have two sons.My son can get only three or six months visa.every three or six monthes he goes for extend it.

He can apply for Q1 type. An invitation letter from his wife, kinship certificate (marriage certificate is ok) and a copy of his wife's ID card are required. However, it's possible that he will get a short-term type. According to others' replies, the more money his wife has, the longer he will be allowed to stay in PRC.
