What is the best way to travel from Guangzhou to Fangchenggang?

As I know, there are two methods traveling between the two places.
The first one is the direct flight and the Southern Airlines and the Xiamen Airlines operate the flights.
The second one is the direct bus which start from Guangzhou City Bus Station, Guangdong Provincial Bus Station and Jiaokou Bus Station. The bus takes about 9 to 10 hours.0
