Dried Ginsen to Guangzhou

Hi again. Thank you for your prompt reply. Perhaps I was not clear with my question whether U.S. citizens are allowed to bring DRIED ginseng (grown in USA, not the wild kind) into Guangzhou as gifts to friends. Please advise. I do not have Facebook; my eamil address: lisac_mgwhotmail.com Thank you

Yes, you can take dried ginsen into PRC as gift. However, their total value should be less than CNY 2000, according to related rules. By the way, you'd better declare to the customs.
