Jewellery to wear for protection

As per year of the horse for 2014, my lucky charm is pearl. I was born Sept 18 and year of the rabbit. I always have problems at work and I would like to wear a stone to protect me from bad energy. I am started to wear a bracelet made from cultured pearl, do you think i can put together a jade for more protection? or what stone can I wear for protection? Vangie
