How to bring a retractable tai chi sword to my kung fu school in Shanghai travelling from Singapore.

This retractable Tai Chi sword. Folding to a mere ten and a half inches in length, the sword expands to a full thirty-five and a half inches (28” blade unsharpen).Plastic handle Blade: 28.5”Overall: 37”Overall, Collapsed: 10.5”Approximate weight: 0.55 lbs.

You can put it in your checked luggage and bring it to China. Then I suggest you take a taxi or public bus to your school. Subway is not suggested because they might not allow you to board the subway after they scan your luggage and find out what it is.
