About:Chinese Medicine

Chinese remedies.

Does anyone know of a cure for constipation for my mother, 90 ? She has to take laxatives most days, which l know is not good for her. She suffers from osteoarthritis of the spine and mild COPD, but still has a very positive outlook on life.
However, next week she is going into hospital, as a day patient, for a flexible sigmoidoscopy,to see if she has bowel cancer, and l am worried about this.

Thanks for your reply. We will give it a try, although it says that no liquids should be drunk 1/2 hour before or 1 hour after, but we will still try it. She had her sigmoidoscopy done today, thankfully it`s ok and went well but l`m the one who`s tired now, not too much sleep last night due to worrying! She`s going to start excercises now for the muscles of the bowel, which will strengthen them and help with the "push" and l`m also going to find out if there are herbal products that do the same, after all, there are muscle relaxants, so why not muscle strengtheners. l believe that in nature there is a herb or plant for every ailment and l am going to find it, after all, many medicines originate from plants, eg, digitalis, the heart drug comes from the foxglove plant!
