About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Husband to work in China on Z visa, work permit & resident permit. Wife to be Australian resisdent

Husband to work on a three year contract. Wife and 5yr old child to also live in China for the period with child going to school and wife not working. Company has suggested she apply for a S1, however due to business commitments in Australia, wife would need to remain as an Australian resident.
Can you advise if and how this can work?
Thanks

Hi, I can not understand your question actaully. So you mean your wife needs to be an Australian resident if she wants to apply for S1? but she is currently not?

Sorry for confusion. Currently both my wife and I are Australian residents and citizens.
My wife owns a business in Australia and we have been told that she should remain an Australian resident, however she wishes to live with me in China. She intends to return to Australia at least six times every year for meeting in her business in Australia.
So we are asking what type of visa can my wife get so she can live in China with me and still remain a Australian resident.

As I know, she is able to get S1 type to stay with you, but sorry I have no idea how she can remain a Australian resident. So better contact Australian immigration for this.
