About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Can i bring my wife along to China for studies?

Please i am currently planning to study PhD in china. I want to know if i can bring my wife along. if yes, what type of visa will she require? will she be eligible to work

She should apply for a S type (S1 or S2) in order to stay with you in PRC. If she plans to work in PRC, she should find an employer and then apply for a Z type. It's illegal to work with other types of visa.
