If I am flying into HongKong on Cathay Pacific, to transit to Sri Lanka, do I need a transit visa?

I am a Sri Lankan passport holder with permanent residence in Canada.

You need to apply for a HK transit visa in advance through Chinese embassy or consulate in Canada.
