Validity period for temporary residence permit

Hello,

Presently I'm working in China. My work permit and residence permit are valid till December, 2014. I'll be changing my job next month. I'll take a new job in China with another employer. I've a gap of one month between the end of my current job and start with new employer. During this gap of one month can I stay in China and also can I exit and enter China? Will my temporary residence permit be valid?
