About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Can I get a double- or multientry visa as a student? If not, can I apply for another type?

I'll go to China to study in university as a exchange student. I'd like to visit some neighbouring countries during my visit. How can I do this (when I am already in China or in Hong Kong or South-Korea) to get back again?

Hi, if you study for longer than 6 months, you should apply for X1 type, which you need to apply for residence permit after entry. The residence permit can be used for reentry. But if you study for less than 6 months in China, you have to apply for a new one for reentry. From my experience, the application in a third country is very difficult.

I'm in China for one semester, thats about 4 months. So the best option is to apply for a new visa in Changzhou, where I'll study?
