About:China Customs Declaration

Communication devices into China & Hong Kong

We have a device called a Spot (which is a satellite messenger) We will be traveling to Bejing, Zian , Shanghai and Hong Kong the latter part of March. Are we allowed to bring it with us in our carry on? We also have a Magic Jack (phone device) are we allowed to bring it. It works with our computer?

I think you can bring your Spot and Magic Jack into PRC. The Magic Jack requires internet service if you want to use it, right? If you can connect your computer to the internet, I think it should work with your computer.
