About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

free transit via Shanghai pudong

Hi there!

I think I perfectly meet all the conditions explained above, so I will buy my ticket (I fly from Taipei to Pudong, and from Pudong to Bangkok). My questions are:

how can I communicate this to the airline I choose? Is there any standard procedure or just an email would be ok?

And last question: what could happen if my airline does not communicate properly the information to Immigration... could I be rejected in the border?

Thank you!

Peter

Hi, if you plan to stay in Shanghai for no more than 72 hours, you just need to inform the carrier airline stuff about this free transit and leave with your information when you check in for the plane to Shanghai. Don't worry, this have been carried out for more than one year, so most airlines know clearly how to handle this.
