Many incorrect info here.Today I applied for extension in Nanning.First,you dont need to wait for visa to expire.Mine will expire in three weeks and it is OK to apply now,those three weeks will not be cancelled.Extension is valid from listed date of expiry not from date of applying for extension as you noted above.Second,bank statement wasnt requiered at all,Chinese friend however have to sign a form that you will abide by Chinese laws and regulations and you also have to be registered in hostel or hotel at least for a nite.Greenforest hostel in Nanning the best I recomend for this,excellent service,they totally understand what you need and will go out of their way to help.

Sir,I rent an apartment in Nanning and only have an L.I would like you to  verify the information concerning the PSB and visa extensions.Before the new regulations began last September, I had to apply for an extension but they would only do so after checking that I had 20,000 reminbi in a bank account, are you sure that you no longer have to show them a bank statement to verify that you have this money in a bank account as long as my girlfriend signs a form??Secondly,is it necessary to stay in a hotel when I have a rented apartment and I am also registered at the local police station??Finally, does the PSB issue you with new one for the length of my present L which is currently ninety days or will they issue me with one for thirty days, obviously, I prefer one for ninety days.Regards
