We are arriving Shanghai Mar.19 at 2345H and staying at Pacific Hotel at W.Nanjing Rd.

what is the best way of transport? If taxi what is the approximate amount?

Hi, I suggest you take airport shuttle bus Night Line, which stops operatin till 45min after the arrival of the last flight, and get off at Zhejiang Middle Road (Yan'an Road, People's Square). Then transfer to a taxi to your hotel within 5min.
