bank statement and certificate

Hi, I have been invited by my Italian boyfriend to meet him in guangzhou. He will be sponsoring my expenses. He holds a tourist visa and we will only stay in China for 3 days. I am currently employed and I can provide all basic requirements except the bank certificate and statement.do you think I should still try and apply for it without this document? I'm afraid that the officer will deny it just because I lack this specific requirement
