send parcel from chengdu international airport

Can I know whether there is a postal office in chengdu international airport where I can send a parcel to Hangzhou? If yes, where is it located? Is it more expensive to send parcel from airport?

I'm afraid not. There is only a mailbox in the airport, so you have to go to the city center to post your parcel.

Thanks for the answer! Can anyone tell me what it cost to buy the box from China Post to send a small parcel by surface local mail? (do they allow you to use your own box to send parcel?)

I have sent packages abroad. You have no choice but buy box from the post office. It depends on the width and length of your parcel. The Post Office provides different kinds of boxes.

I was also thinking of sending a small parcel from Guangzhou to a charity organisation in Shanghai using the China Post box but I have heard that such boxes are rather costly. Does anyone know whether the cost of a small box for 3 to 4 kg by surface mail would cost anything more than 10RMB roughly?

It's hard to tell. They provide the boxes according to the width and length of your package. I think you should confirm with the post office in your area.
