About:China Visa Application in USA

Documentation for S2 visa?

hi all i am inviting my wife on a short term visit what documents do i need to prepare for S2 application? do i need to attach bank statements? if yes how much money would be enough to show? Do i need to attach housing contract? for the intended place of residence. i am staying in a dormitory but if my wife gets it i will rent an apartment. Just need to know if the contract is required ? so the apartment could be rented out in advance.

You need to send her an invitation letter, and copies of your passport and residence permit. Your marriage certificate is also required. Bank statement and housing contract are not mandatory, but you need to include following information in your letter:
1. Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)
2. Information on the visit (purpose of visit, arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, relations between the applicant and the inviting individual, financial source for expenditures, etc.)
3. Information on yourself (name, contact telephone number, address, signature, etc.)
