As I know, it is safe to travel and shop in that city at any place.
For tour, the West Lake and Xixi Wetland Park are suggested to have look.
For eating, Lou Wai Lou (Tower Beyond Tower) is the representative and you must to have a try. It is famous for HZ Cusine.
For living, Jinjiang Inn (West Lake Avenue Branch) is suggested for you.1
