How can I identify counterfeit bills?

You should be very careful when you receive 20, 50 or 100 RMB. There is a watermark on the left of the front side. You can see it clearly. When you touch the watermark, you will figure out that the surface of the watermark is uneven. When you look at the middle of the note, you will see a security line. The Denomination ID in bottom-left of the front side color change hologram effect.

Here are some other tips to prevent you receiving counterfeit bills. You should be very careful if the bill is brandnew or very old. If you are not sure whether it is real or fake, you can ask him/her to give you 10 Yuan changes because there are very few counterfeit 10 Yuan.
