Suggested itinerary for one day explore of Xiamen

First of all, you won't meet many problems due to the language difference. Don't worry much about that!

Well then, as for your itinerary, here is my suggestion:
In the morning, you are advised to visit the XM Museum and Botanic Garden.
At noon, you can go to XM University to roam around the beautiful garden. If u don't mind, you can have lunch there and the charge is much less than outside.
In the afternoon, Gulangyu is recommended. You can spend two or three hours there. Afterwards, if there is time left, you can rent a bike to ride on the Huandao Road to see the general view of the whole city.
