traveling information about emeishan

Question

Has anyone stayed in Jieyin Hall (接引殿) in Emeishan? Does one need to book Jieyin Hall in advance if going in May? Also, which cable car station to alight from if I do not wish to climb all the way up to Jieyin Hall? How much farther up to reach the summit? Regards.

When I traveled there last June, I stayed in Leidong Lawn （雷洞坪). We intended to check in Jieyin Hall, but it was full when we arrived and I also heard it doesn't accept booking in advance.As May will be during the peak travel season, you may also take a risk that the accommodation will be full. Anyway, except Jieyin Hall, Leidong Lawn （雷洞坪) and Prince Lawn (太子坪), both of which are inside of the senic area, also provide accommodations.

By the way, the Jieyin Hall is near the foot of the mountain and I remember it takes around 1.5h to the Golden Summit.
