About:Taishan Mountain

question about taishan

Hi we are thinking of breaking our bullet train journey from Beijing to Shagnghai at Tai-an to see the mountain. How would this work since will have our kluggage with us? We can stay one night - check in first and then do the mountain?

It is suggested to climb the mountain at night, so that you can see the sun rise on the top of the moutain in the next morning. As I know, many people choose this method.
If climb the mountain at night, you can store your luggage in Taian Bullet Train Station, where you can find lockers to store your luggage.
It is highly recommended to climb the mountain step by step on your own. Have a nice trip there ~

Thanks for your answer. How long does it take step by step? presumably there are no cable cars at night. We would not see any monuments?
and after climbing up, would we then come straight down?
What about climbing up in the day and staying in ahotel near the top so that we can get up at dawn? and still leaving most luggage at the station?

If you have energy, it takes about four hours. Some girls will climb in about six hours.
Yes, there is no cable car at night. The cable car stop at around 17:30. If you plan to climb at night, you can see around the monuments at day time on the next day when you get down the mountain.
After you reach the top, seeing the sun rise cannot be missed.
You can also climb at day and get down at dawn. You can still store your luggage at the railway station, because it is much safer.
