About:Dress Code in China

Business Dress Code for Man - Office Visits and Factory Visits (Thermal Power Stations)

I am arriving in Shanghai in Mid March and am concerned about the weather (temperature range) and also proper clothes.
1) Business Dress - in and around hotel
2) Business Dress - at customer host business office
3) At factory or plants (coal fired power thermal electric plants - often dirty/dusty environments).
4) Business dinner or Business lunches
5) Personal travel (1 Day) in Shanghai - by myself.

The temperature in Shanghai during the mid March is from 5 to 15 degrees. It's cloudy most of the time but rainy sometimes. Except your formal dress (suits, for example), you sould bring your windcoat, jacket or thin sweater.

Personally, I think you should wear formal dress when you meet at the factory or plants. It's a formal occasion though it's dirty and dusty.
