About:Chinese Embassy in Cyprus

Accomodation and travel Insurance

I am planning on visiting a friend who lives in China since i wont need to book a hotel what should i put in my visa application that shows that i already have a place to stay? and do i need a bank statement of any kind to show that i have the available funds to travel?

You need to provide an invitation letter from your friend and copies of your friend's passport and residence permit (if he is a foreigner), or copies of Chinese ID instead. Generally, bank statement is not required for tourist L. You can provide round-way ticket for application.

Thank you for your reply Betty, but i have one more question. How can my friend obtain the invitation letter? What process will she have to go through?

The invitation letter issued by your friend herself including following details is enough:
a. Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)
b. Information on the planned visit (arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, etc.)
c. Information on the inviting individual (name, contact telephone number, address, signature of the inviting individual)
