Weather in May

I am planning to travel to China from May 11 through 28. I will be visiting Beijing, Xi'an, Chongqing, Yangtze River cruise, Yichang, Shanghai, Guilin, Yangshuo, and Hong Kong. How is the weather in May? Is May a rainy month? Is it cold in May? I am trying to avoid rain and cold. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

The average temperature in Beijing is 5.1 ℃. Sometimes, it is below 0 ℃. So it might be a little bit cold. But I think you can stand the coldness if you bring some thick clothes. The average temperatures in Xian, Chongqing, Yichang, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guilin and Yangshuo are 15.6 ℃, 11℃, 8℃, 5℃, 20℃, 14℃ and 17℃. It isn't as cold as Beijing. But it's rainy in Guilin and Yangshuo during the March.
