Hi
1)Does anyone know of any clean and reasonable hostel/inn with triple room very near to entrance of Emei or at the top of the mountain? is it better to stay at the top or pay and re-enter the mountain area for the second day?

2)How about any reasonable hostel/inn near to the entrance of Jiuzhaigou ?

If you want to see the sun rise, you may need to live near the top of the mountain, otherwise, you can live outside and re-enter.
Hostels are very easy to find outside the mountain, but if you want to live on the top of the mountain, it is hard to find the hostel.
Near the entrance, there is a hostel called Mingjia Hostel.
For JZG, it is suggested to live in the MIGU International Youth Hostel. It is cheap and clean, but you may need to book in advance. The hostel is about 800m from the entrance of the valley.

Hello
My friend and I spent the morning at the Leshan Giant Buddha then started hiking Mt. Emei at around 1:30. We walked as far up as we could before it got dark. There was a temple along the route we had taken, there are several ways to get up to the top. We asked the caretaker if we could pay to stay and I believe we payed 30-40 quai for both of us. They cooked us a hearty hot meal, it was freezing, they gave us extra blankets and hot water!! It was the most spiritual and amazing experience of my life. Just let the mountain show you the way. Youmay not make it all the way in one day but it is worth it!

Hello joelj
Thanks for reply! May I know you started climb from Wannian cable car station point or from Fuhu Temple (no cable car)? Which temple you managed to reach before dark (does it get dark quickly and which month you visited?) Is the path lighted up at night at some points (I am wondering what if we cant arrive at some temple before it turns dark). Are there handrail at the steep parts? Thanks.
