About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

determination of start/ending of 72 hour visa rule.

I enter China on a China Southern to Beigingflight from Dubai at Can airport, transfer to another China southern flight to PEk., where I will staying for 3 nights. Does the 72 hour exemption rule start when I arrive at PEK airport? Same thing for my return, leave Pek airport on China Southern with transfer at CAN for China Southern Flight to SYD. Again does the 72 hour end with my PEK to CAN flight.? Thanks to anybody that rtesponds!

Yes, the 72 hour starts from you get your transit permit at Beijing, actually, it is counted from 0:00 of the following day after arrival. Also it ends when you leave from Beijing airport.

Thank you Ivy, erverybody keeps telling me that the 72hours starts when my plan lands in CAN from Duabi, and ends when I leave CAN on flight to SYD. I thanky you soo much for your reply.
