About:Embassy & Consulates of U.K. in China

Where is the British consulate for Tianjin? Do I have to go to Beijing?`

If so, any tips on how to get there from TJ?

I am afraid that you have to go to Beijing, because there is no British Consulate for TJ.
From TJ to Beijing, you need to take the intercity bullet trains to reach BJ South Railway Station.
Upon reaching the south railway station, you can take the local subway line 4 to get to Jiaomen West Station and then change to line 10 to get to Jintaixizhao Station. Get out of the station from Exit D and then walk to that place at No. 1, Guanghua Road on the Kerry Centre, North Tower.
