About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Is it ok to get tourist visa or do I need to get s2 type? Does he need to do anythibg else other than provide an Inviting letter if I get the s2?

Travelling to china as a tourist in april or 2 weeks. Will spend some time with my brother who is working there temporarily.

A L type is ok for you. If you have the invitation letter from your brother, you needn't offer the round-trip air tickets and hotel reservation in PRC.
