Question

This is my first trip to China for Business. I will be looking for products to import into Australia. I would like to know what myself and my wife should wear at our initial meeting. Also what is the correct way to make an introduction. I would also like to know if we should give any gifts, quite confusing as everyone is saying something different.

I think formal dress (suits for example) is the best option. It's no need to bring gifts because you two just meet for the first time. If you establish stable cooperation relationship with the factories, then perhaps you can bring some gifts for them and I guess they will prepare some gifts for you too.
