HI, my GF not to long ago was hired to work in a Hotel in Hainan china for two years, she will be making a good amount of money. I am a girl, and i know china does not see same sex couples, but she would really love to have me stay with her for the two years, and i would love that also. She will be taking care of all the expenses, and we will have a apartment. Im not sure how to go about trying to get a Q2 since she is a foreigner with a resident? Im trying to fill out my application but there are some things that confuse me. More or less i would like to know is it possible for me to fill out a Q2 type and possibly get it.

You will have to walk into the PSB or Chinese consulate ask them if China will accept gay marriage and a gay marriage certificate... I think this is the hardest question I've ever seen when it comes to visa laws.

I'm afraid if you have no family or marriage relationship it will be impossible to get a Q, even an S visa won't be allowed because you girls are not blood related nor married. Chinese doesn't care about GF relationships nor do they give one in this matter.. You have 0% chance for a Q or S.. Like Jonny said we you must ask the PSB if they will accept gay marriage contract.

But the Q2 says short term visit to foreigner who resides in china, it gives a option, and for marriage I was not adding that to the option, I just wanted to know since she is a short term permanent resident it should be ok?

Not what I wrote correctly. What I meant is Q2 said what I wrote last, and since she is working there a foreigner and has a short term permanent residency it should be ok. I just want to be with her for two years, and for marriage I did not even think of that as a option. I just want to know what type would be best other than z, since im not sure if ill even work. Oh also she is my financial provider during this whole duration.

Look, it's very easy to understand, a Q is for FAMILY members related by blood or marriage. NOT FOR FRIENDS!

L will be your only option! But you'll have to exit the country every 30 days to 3 months it depends.
