About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Travel Visa hiccups ..

I am an american residing in jeonju with my wife ( a korean ) . I have a year left on my ARC . I have been to china many times in the past however my previous passport was lost ( containing many chinese visas from z-f-l). I keep speaking with people at agencies telling me that I need my old passport and I keep explaining that I do not have it. I do however have a copy of my old data page and a very old photo of a residence permit 2009-2010 the agent said they need to see a " stamp" which is impossible since I am no longer in possession of my previously ' stamped ' passport. Should i just put that I have never been to china on my application or should i provide as much information as possible regardless of what the agent keeps telling me?
