Permanent Resident Child Depedent

Hi

If me and my child have permanent residence status in China, can my child go to public school without hukou?

Hi, it deffers in cities. As I know, remanent residence status means the same as Hukou, so your child can go to public school without problem. Some schools may have different polcies anyway, for example, offer priority to the locals. So, you'd better contact the local Education Bureau or the school for more details.
