how much is the average cost per night to stay at the hotels on the Yellow mountain?

is it recomenned to make reservations far in advance if possible?

The price is different for different kinds of hotel.
Generally speaking, it is around 500 to 600RMB per standard room.
It is highly recommended to book in advance, because it is hard to get one during the peak season.

Usually for Mt. Huang, the peak season is from March 1 to November 31.
